OS update required:
For M-series MacBooks (M2 and newer), macOS must be updated to the latest version after screen replacement. Replacement displays manufactured in 2025 or newer include updated firmware that older macOS versions may not fully support. Without an update, a faint grey “ghost” box might appear in the top-right corner.
If your password is provided, we will update macOS during the repair. Otherwise, please update it after receiving your MacBook to ensure proper calibration.
No third-party screens: Unlike many repair shops, we never use aftermarket screens from eBay or other sources. These may look fine initially but often suffer from poor brightness uniformity, weak hinges, and lower durability.
