The use of our services is subject to the following terms of use This Agreement shall apply from the date you sign the service form and shall continue until the date we have repaired your device or otherwise returned it and payment has been made.

  1. 1.1 We shall make full effort to repair your device subject to the availability of the required parts and/or the terms and conditions of any guarantee or warranty. This shall be performed with delicate care and skill.

  2. 1.2 During the reparations we will make use of high-quality compatible parts for each repair that we complete.

  3. 1.3 We shall need the passcode of your device so that our team can test it before and after our service. If you decide to not state your information, we can continue with the repair service, however, we will not be able to perform a functionality test on the device until you have returned to the store. This can delay the timeframe of the service should any adjustments be required.

  4. 1.4 Any timeframe for the completion of the service is an estimate and does not form any obligation under the terms of this Agreement. We aim to return your device as soon as possible, however, certain repairs may require 3 or more working days to complete.

  5. 1.5 We shall inform you of when your device has been repaired and is on its way back to you via tracked postage. If you are using the walk-in service you shall receive a notification when your device is ready for collection.

  6. 1.6 Should we be unable to complete the required service, or the service will require further costs, you will be notified immediately via telephone and/or email. Should we find no fault in your device, you have the option not to accept our revised estimate. We will then return the device to you unrepaired and reserve the right to charge an inspection fee in accordance with the standard charges we use.

  7. 1.7 The total cost of repair will be calculated in accordance with our standard charges as published from certain dates.

  8. 1.8 We are entitled to keep your device until all charges payable have been paid. We may also charge an additional fee for storage of your device.

  9. 1.9 Using our services may void your manufacturer’s warranty. Should you want to avoid this, we suggest taking the device directly to the manufacturer. This may not cover any accidental damage.

  10. 1.10 MacbookFix may install warranty seals after the repair has been completed. Any tampering of the seals will void the MacbookFix warranty.
  11. 1.11 The Warranty we supply will be linked to a particular device and can be identified by a unique IMEI or serial number, as well as to the specific customer identified by records on our system. This will cover the Customer for any re-occurrence of the original damage and for the parts replaced or repaired. Should any additional faults occur, they will not be covered by this Warranty. Furthermore, the warranty does not cover accidental damage, nor will it cover if the device was to change ownership

  12. 1.12 We do not accept responsibility for any progression in damage in which your device has been repaired elsewhere prior to the repair at MacbookFix. This applies to any issues found on your device that were not evident upon initial inspection. Should any issues become apparent during the inspection you will be contacted directly via telephone and/or email.

  13. 1.13 We do not accept responsibility for any progression in damage for a device damaged by liquid. Opening the device has the potential to create further damage which may be serious and in some circumstances irreparable.

  14. 1.14 Following repair, any waterproofing or resistance cannot be guaranteed.

Use of Our Service
By using our Services, you agree to the following:

5.1 you are responsible for backing up your watch's data (for example by keeping it paired and synced with your iPhone), for unpairing the watch and turning off Activation Lock before sending it to us, and for removing any straps, bands or accessories you wish to keep. MacbookFix shall not be liable for any corruption, deletion, alteration or loss of data.

5.2 Any repair completed by MacbookFix may void your manufacturer's warranty for your watch. MacbookFix has no liability should your manufacturer's warranty be voided. If you do not wish to void that warranty, you should not place an order with MacbookFix and should instead take the watch to the manufacturer.

5.3 It is your responsibility to tell MacbookFix the correct model and series of your watch, its condition, and whether any modifications or previous repairs have been carried out on it. MacbookFix may perform a check-in diagnosis to evaluate the watch's condition. If its condition is significantly different from what you described, you agree that additional charges may apply — MacbookFix will inform you of these before proceeding.

5.4 Transporting your watch to MacbookFix is your sole responsibility: should it arrive with further damage or be lost in transit, you bear the risk of loss. Any separate parts or accessories you choose to include are also sent at your own risk, and MacbookFix will not be held responsible should they go missing before arriving with us. Please ensure your watch and any parts are securely wrapped and sealed so nothing goes missing in transit.

5.5 By submitting a device for repair, you confirm that you are the owner of the device, or that you are authorised by the owner to submit it for repair. MacbookFix accepts no liability arising from a device submitted by a person who is not entitled to do so, and may report suspected stolen devices to the relevant authorities.
Delivery to you of your device

6.1 Any device transported to you is required to be examined upon receipt. Should your device be delivered damaged, unrepaired or with any additional faults, you are required to inform MacbookFix within 3 days of receipt. Should you not inform us within 3 days, MacbookFix will have no liability should your device have arrived with a fault. This does not affect your statutory rights or any other rights under these Terms.

6.2 All devices are returned via a tracked courier. This excludes Saturday and Sunday delivery.

6.3 We work on a no-fix, no-fee policy: if we cannot repair your device, you do not pay for the repair. A £15 return postage and processing charge still applies to return your device to you. MacbookFix cannot guarantee that any particular device is repairable and has no liability to you if we are unable to repair your device.

6.4 If your device remains uncollected, or we are unable to return it because you have not responded to our messages or have not paid any outstanding charges, we will attempt to contact you using the details you provided. If the device remains uncollected or unreturnable for 90 days after our first notice, we may dispose of or recycle the device to recover our costs (including any storage charges under clause 1.8), and MacbookFix will have no further liability to you in respect of it.

Price and Payment

7.1 The price that is quoted to you for the Repair Services in terms of each device is an indicative non-binding quote issued by MacbookFix. This is based on the information provided by you regarding each device. For example, the faults you have described. As a result, any price quoted is subject to a detailed verification of each device.

7.2 On receipt of your device, MacbookFix will inspect it. If the indicative price needs to change (for example, because we find extra faults), or if you have already paid for a particular repair but we find that a different or additional repair is necessary, MacbookFix will contact you to ask whether you would like us to proceed at the revised price. You will only be charged more if you agree to the revised price. If you do not agree, MacbookFix will not perform the Repair Services and will have no liability to you other than to refund any payments you have already made in relation to the repair, minus a £15 return postage and processing charge.

Warranty

8.1 Except when stated otherwise, MacbookFix Repair Services are supported by a limited 12-month parts and labour warranty from the date of repair. Battery replacements and cracked front glass / touch repairs are covered for 90 days from the date of repair. The warranty does not apply to diagnostic services, or to any cracks or liquid damage.

8.2 What is covered by the Warranty?

(a) manufacturer defects in the parts we supplied as part of the original repair;

(b) faults in the workmanship of the repair we carried out;

(c) a re-occurrence of the original fault we repaired, within the warranty period.

8.3 The warranty is limited to the parts we supplied and the labour we carried out in the original repair. For example, if we fixed a camera fault on your device and the replacement part later proves defective, we will gladly replace it at no cost — but a fault in an unrelated part, such as the power button, would not be covered.

Terms & Conditions of our Warranty
9.1 The warranty period runs from the original date of the repair. Warranty work does not extend or restart it. For example, if a warranty repair is completed 3 months after the initial repair, the warranty still ends on its original expiry date, counted from the date the first repair was completed.

9.2 For postal warranty claims, postage is paid by the customer in both directions — sending the device to us and the return delivery back to you.

9.3 Whether cracks, other physical damage or liquid damage are present is assessed from the condition of the device at the time we inspect it, and our technician's assessment is final.

9.4 What does the Warranty not cover?

The warranty does not cover any of the following in relation to a device repaired under our Repair Services:

(a) physical damage, however it occurs — any crack, bend, dent or breakage found on the device is not covered, whatever the cause, whenever it happened and whether or not it was reported. This includes mishandling and accidental damage;

(b) water or any other liquid damage;

(c) damage or faults resulting from an attempted repair by the customer or any third party, at any time;

(d) software issues unrelated to the repair, or any damage resulting from viruses or other malicious software that may have been transmitted during servicing or escaped detection;

(e) any jailbroken or “rooted” device;

(f) water resistance — MacbookFix cannot guarantee that a device will remain water-resistant following a repair;

(g) new damage unrelated to the original service;

(h) any loss of data that occurs as a result of the repair. Please back up your device before sending it to us. We do not accept any liability for data that is deleted, lost, corrupted or altered during the repair service. You as the customer accept full responsibility for backing up the data on your device, and we are not required to advise or remind you of any backup procedures.
VAT

10.1 If you are a customer, all of MacbookFix prices will include VAT. The prices that are quoted to business customers will also include VAT on all Repair Services.

Non-Transferable Warranty

11.1 The warranty stated above is only valid for the specific device that has been repaired through the repair services that we offer, and for the original customer. As a result, it is not transferable across devices, or if the device is sold or given to another person.

Damage caused by MacbookFix
12.1 If a device is irreparably damaged as a direct result of a repair carried out by MacbookFix, and you have paid for that repair, you are entitled to a functional refurbished device of equal value. The replacement is matched to the model of your device and the condition it was received in, with the original repair issue resolved.

12.2 In the unlikely event of a defect with the Repair Services that is covered by the warranty:

(a) please contact MacbookFix as soon as possible after becoming aware of the defect;

(b) please give MacbookFix a reasonable opportunity to repair or replace the defective part; and

(c) MacbookFix will make every effort to fix the defect within 14 days.

12.3 If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to Repair Services that were not carried out with reasonable skill and care, or where the materials used by MacbookFix are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

12.4 Nothing in these Terms affects those legal rights.
